Captain America: Civil War

*Warning: Possible Spoilers* ~

So the audience goes in knowing that a “Civil War” breaks out between the two main protagonists: Captain America(the superhero that has his name in the movie…spoiler guess who wins)  and Iron Man.  The feud breaks out as a result of dispute as a result of the world’s growing animosity what appears reckless “on the side of good” super powered beings causing havoc from what some may consider collateral damages due to combat between them and usually the “on the side of evil” megalomania-cal super powered being(s).  Damn those rotten apples, they spoil everything for the rest of the bunch.

The world governments all agree to ratify an agreement of this movie’s version of the “Superhuman Registration Act“:  the Sokovia Accords.  It was sold to the Avengers as a solution to temper, enforce oversight, provide management and accountability of all superhuman activities and it required their registration in order to resume superhero activities.  So it follows the premise of plot line that the comic version of the original Marvel Civil War story line had but it’s pieced together to include the beloved characters from the other previous Marvel Studios superhero films that Marvel Studios still owns the rights to and recalls previous battles that have happened in those previous superhero films(Marvel Studios).

The movie was action packed with well-choreographed stunts and close combat fight scenes that you’ve come to know from the previous Captain America films.  They are budgeted evenly throughout the film in between the exposition of new the character development, primarily from newly introduced characters.  You’ll be treated to healthy helping sarcastic banter  between all the characters you’ve come to know and expect from Marvel Studios portrayal of the Marvel Universe and it’s characters.

My only complaint was that they tried to fit in too much in one film and the story felt rushed and disjointed because the characters motivations of why they decide to take arms or more specifically choose sides felt a bit forced.  Granted the movie was already running on the long side for most people: 2 hours 27 minutes; but any comic book nerd and/or adept movie goer can see why they showed this flashback here… a funeral there.  Because it was rushed and stitched together to include certain “blockbuster required elements”: a love interest and new cameos/characters(whose plot lines will be expanded in future films).  You maybe taken aback from some of the cheesy actions and dialogue that even great actors won’t be able to pull off.  Bottom line: It’s excellent action movie if you really excellent use of computer graphics….keep a look out for young Stark(you’d be amazed).  The action fight scenes and chases won’t disappoint fans of the previous Captain America films, they are spectacular.  It’s a must see for any Marvel comic book nerd.
